He is one of those who are multi-hatted. He is both a rapper, visual artist, agricultural entrepreneur, model and above all his current hobby, acting. Focus on Tchelo Ghislain Akoizam Tondé, one of the nuggets of cinema made in Burkina Faso.

As a child, he mimicked his father during his performances. Tchelo Ghislain Akoizam Tondé is the son of musician Roger Tondé, better known as “the man with the hat”, and an Ivorian-Burkinabe woman. His father taught him to play the guitar and unknowingly passed on the music genes to him. Growing up, the little boy had only one obsession, to become a singer like dad. But his parents don’t hear it with the same ear. ?Dad dreamed of seeing me as a doctor as he was after his career as an artist. The parents wanted me to study for a long time before claiming a career as an artist,? he recalls.

His first love was music

At the end of his secondary studies, he decided to start rapping. His first group is called LDL (The Defenders of the Law) and the second Black Nega. He then embarked on a solo career. After years in music, he begins another chapter of his life by becoming a tourist guide. This work allows him to discover more Burkina Faso and the surrounding countries. In Ghana where he was staying, Tchelo had a meeting that would mark a turning point in his career. ?I met an actor who impressed me. He told me that I had talent and that I had to try my hand at the cinema, ?he explains. At first he was skeptical. ?I thought it was going to take my time, whereas I love freedom. I like the liberal professions?. But, the man still decides to try his luck by going to a casting. Despite his lack of experience, he was selected for the lead role in a film by director MCZ.

The greedy for fame, the Achilles heel of Burkinabe cinema

Appetite coming with eating, Tchelo Ghislain Akoizam Tondé ends up falling in love with acting. He then decides to train. And it is the famous actor Issaka Sawadogo who teaches him the tricks of this job. ?I was lucky to run into him. He didn’t hesitate to share his experience with me,? he recalls, still amazed by the kindness of the famous actor. The training ends up paying off: from 2019 to date, Tchelo Ghislain Akoizam Tondé has shot in around fifteen films. We can cite: ”Journey from nowhere”, ”The price of risk”, ”Uzur”, ”The team of beautiful rebels” and the latest, ”More and more further away”.

He is one of those who think that a professional actor must be able to ?incarnate all the roles?. However, the actor admits that he often refused to work in certain film projects. ?I refused to act in certain films, not out of arrogance but there are projects that drag you down,? he says.

The actor (in the middle) during a film shoot

Does the acting profession feed its man in Burkina Faso? ?Being an actor feeds some people. The cachet is often meager for other actors, ?he underlines. But he recognizes that, thanks to the visibility he had through the cinema, other doors were opened to him.

He has several strings to his bow: he is a model, visual artist and agro-business man. For Tchelo Ghislain Akoizam Tondé, if Burkinabè cinema has lost its former glory, it is partly the fault of the actors whom he describes as “have you seen me”. ?They come to follow our films and they are seduced. Many of them want to make movies just for fame. Sometimes, the director calls a professional to shoot in his film. This professional gives him his stamp, he considers that the amount requested is excessive. Yet it is normal that one can live from one’s art. This director will therefore go to the “have you seen me” who are ready to play often even for free. The consequence is that the result at the end is not famous, ?he is offended.

For Tchelo Ghislain Akoizam Tondé, training is essential for those who wish to embrace a career as an actor

To those who are passionate about acting, he gives them advice: get trained. ?Most of the elders went through the theater, but today’s young people don’t want to go through any training. I did not do theatre, but I trained in this discipline because you have to understand what you are doing, ?he insisted.

Today, Tchelo Ghislain Akoizam Tondé dreams big. He wants to conquer America and works in this direction: ?I dream of being on the American sets. I want to play in Hollywood?. He says he is aware that such an ambition requires enormous sacrifices, but as he reminds us, ?work can lead to the realization of dreams?.

Julie Roberts has been with her husband, Danny Moder, for nearly two decades, but their relationship hasn’t always been a bed of roses. Early in their romance, Moder’s ex-wife claimed the actress robbed him and paid her off to divorce him.

Julia Roberts is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful actresses in Hollywood, and any man would be lucky to be with her. Some were lucky enough to be part of her love life, including Kiefer Sutherland, to whom she was briefly engaged, and her ex-husband, Lyle Lovett.

She has also been linked to Liam Neeson, Dylan McDermott, Matthew Perry and Jason Patric. However, none of these relationships worked out, and in 2000 she found out why.

MEETING WITH DANNY MODER

In 2000, the actress met Danny Moder on the set of “The Mexican”. As she performed on screen, he was the man by her side. At that time, Roberts was in a relationship with Benjamin Bratt while Moder was married to makeup artist Vera Steimberg. In a previous interview, Roberts shared:

“I think the first real change was meeting Danny. It was the first time my life would never be the same again, in the most incredible, indescribable way.”

Although they didn’t start dating right away, the couple sorted through their lives and eventually parted ways with their respective partners. Moder filed for divorce from his wife six months after meeting the actress, but ran into difficulties as Steinberg refused to let go.

Eventually, the divorce took place, and Moder and Roberts began their romantic fairy tale. The ‘Runaway Bride’ star previously mentioned that they worked out their issues separately, and “that’s the only reason we were able to finally fall in love with each other and be together.”

She despised the new man her mother had chosen to love for his abusive and terrorizing nature.

However, Moder’s wife would tell the story differently. According to Steimberg, the ‘Notting Hill’ star courted her husband while he was still married. According to the Sun, reported by the New York Post, Steimberg said:

“I will never be able to forgive Julia. She is a husband stealer. It won’t last with her anyway. She will be looking for a new husband in the next year. Danny has an eye wanderer, and he will not change.”

A news outlet reported that Roberts allegedly put Steinberg under immense pressure to sign the divorce papers until she relented. Steinberg reportedly called Roberts “desperate” to have Moder all to herself, even though the makeup artist didn’t want to give up on their marriage.

THE BEGINNING OF ETERNITY

In addition, Roberts allegedly paid her $200,000 to separate from her spouse. Regardless, Roberts and Moder eventually reunited and married in 2002. They have since kept their lives private, although some details of their relationship are known.

When the time came, Moder proposed with a modest emerald ring that reportedly cost $4,000. Their wedding ceremony at Roberts’ Mexican ranch was also a surprise ceremony for those present. Initially, the 60 guests thought they were attending an Independence Day party.

The bride and groom also opted for simple outfits. Roberts wore a pastel pink halter dress decorated with beads and hand-painted flowers. As for Moder, he looked dapper in a ruffled red shirt and brown pants.

In 2004, the couple welcomed twins, Phinnaeus and Hazel. Three years later, they had their third child, Henry. As their family evolves away from the cameras, not much is known about their three children. However, Roberts sometimes describes his children.

In an interview, she called her only daughter “good and brave”. In May 2019, Moder shared a glimpse of their youngest son doing a backflip on a trampoline. Henry is also a pro skateboarder and can do tricks on his ramp.

Phinnaeus goes surfing and very often showed his athletic side. Like Henry, he is also an avid skater. Despite the fame, it seems the couple raised their children to be well-rounded individuals.

According to the actress, she and her husband share the same philosophy on raising children and are a great team. She said:

“You can’t understand this stuff until you’ve done it. And we’re lucky there’s harmony in the way we do things.”

The same could be said of their 19 years of marriage. Roberts and Moder may have started their relationship on rocky ground, but they’ve stayed strong over the years.

?He really is, to this day, to this minute, my favorite human,? Roberts said. “We really like each other a lot, and we enjoy each other’s company.”

However, their life together did not go without rumors trying to separate them. Over the years, gossip has swirled about an apparent rift between the couple. Robert and Moder didn’t care.

According to an insider, the couple made it through with the help of a counselor. “They were determined to stick together for the long haul, no matter what,” a source said.

Unfortunately, Roberts’ childhood has nothing to do with that of his current family. At a young age, her parents divorced and she lived with her mother and stepfather. She despised the new man her mother had chosen to love for his abusive and terrorizing nature.

Out of respect, she never gave more details about her father. Eventually, Roberts’ stepfather and mother separated and continued to live their lives in private. When asked about his abuse, Roberts’ stepfather continually denied the allegations.

Fat Joe says he needs to remind his kids they don’t have money like Jay-Z and Diddy

While celebrity kids are often seen living the good life and flaunting their wealth, it seems Fat Joe pamper their children and stick to their finances. On a recent episode of the “I’m an Athlete” podcast, the New York rapper spoke candidly about the realities that come with being famous, including being honest with yourself and those closest to you. Fat Joe speak,

?You should never lie to yourself. Don’t even lie to your family. I told my wife, I told my kids, we’re not Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs or Shawn Carter, Jay-Z. One day my son – he was 19 [ans], he was like, ‘Yo daddy, look!’ I looked at him, he took his son Dr. Dre on a private jet, you got Jay-Z. He was like, “That’s how boys move now!”. “

He went on to explain his playful but serious conversation with his son,

?I said, ‘You don’t fucking move!’? We don’t understand that! So stop looking at them mutha**ckas and go on a trip! Stay in your lane, because a lot of people ? maybe women ? but a lot of men get lost by not trying to stay true to themselves.

While Fat Joe maybe not the same amount as Jay-Z and Diddy, the Bronx rapper did just fine. He has maintained a long career in the music industry and continues to remain relevant between music, new artist collaborations, and various business ventures. On the first day of this month, Fat Joe announced a new partnership with fast food franchise White Castle, where it is launching a line of sloppy joe sandwiches throughout January.

Synopsis

Art commentary

This n° 18 of the prestige edition collection limited to 2000 copies is dedicated to the film Satoshi Kon, the illusionist directed by Pascal-Alex Vincent at the request of the widow and producers of the famous mangaka and anime director who died suddenly in August 2010. Author of manga, he started out in animation in the 1970s before devoting himself exclusively to cinema animation from 1996. He will acquire international fame with only four feature films that all deal with subjective reality that he will master to perfection: Perfect Blue (1991), Millenium actress (2001), Tokyo Godfathers (2003) and Paprika (2006). Considered, rightly, as one of the world’s great masters of animation, Satoshi Kon left the indelible mark of a creator of undisputed genius whose influence is still felt: quite naturally, the documentary Satoshi Kon, the illusionist turned to the filmmaker’s peers and to the various authors who recognize the importance of his work in their own works. The portrait of Satoshi Kon painted by Pascal-Alex Vincent borrows the classic form of a chronological development interspersed with interviews of the various people who rubbed shoulders with the artist (but nothing about his family) such as Mamoru Oshii who worked with him on Paprika, the writer Yasutaka Tsutsui, author of Paprika, host Aya Suzuki, anime voice actors Junko Iwao (Perfect Blue) et Megumi Hayashibara (Paprika). The film also gives voice to various totally admiring foreign authors such as Darren Aronofsky, Marc Caro or Jérémy Clapin (I lost my body, 2019) and Rodney Rothman, co-director of the Oscar-winning animation Spider-Man : New Generation (2019). Avoiding falling into basic hagiography consisting of accumulating positive testimonies, the documentary also provides less rave reviews capable of qualifying and humanizing the portrait. We realize that the artist picky about his creation has aroused the enthusiasm of his collaborators as much as their reserve. At the end of the 80 minutes that lasts Satoshi Kon, the illusionist, the documentary will have succeeded in making us more perceptible the importance exerted by the work of the artist, whether or not we are passionate about animation in general and Japanese anime more specifically. But as interesting as the interventions of the various participants are and despite the many supplements available (including an interview from 2009), viewing one of Satoshi Kon’s four films remains the best opportunity to approach his complex personality.

Technical Comment

Image : HD copy, excellent definition and very good sharpness for this film essentially composed of recent interviews, the definition only drops on certain archive images, the contrast varies according to the shots, sometimes a little leveled, often naturalistic, calibration and realistic colorimetry, nuanced colors

Son : multilingual (especially Japanese) 5.1 mix, very good clarity of the voices and comments, excellent general dynamics especially perceptible in the extracts, relatively limited spatialization (many interviews) favoring the music of Théo Chapira because this documentary consists mainly of spoken testimonies

Long reluctant to tribute bands, these orchestras specializing in the repertoire of a deceased celebrity or an extinct group, France has caught up, since, on January 15, one of them was on the stage of the Zénith de Lille. The flurry of hits ? I walk alone, Life by proxy, She made a baby on her own, I give you, Fly me? Where The low, in front of smartphones transformed into fireflies ? immediately identifies the author: Jean-Jacques Goldman. The retirement for two decades of the star of the 1980s and 1990s makes the great evenings of a sextet with the impeccable name, Goldmen. Especially since the Northerners play at home. The last time the Zénith de Lille vibrated with these songs was in June 2002 for what would become the master’s farewell tour.

?We arrived when the lack was starting to be strong, at the level of the fan base, explains Alain Stevez, the singer of the Goldmen, in his fifties wearing mid-length hair, the white shirt and the model’s tie. The group started in 2010, at the Théâtre de Denain [Nord], with 300 entries. Like him and his musicians, we come from ballrooms and café-concerts. What we propose is a scenic biopic, simple and without artifice. »

Alain Stevez, of the Goldmen: “The songs do 80% of the job: they bring a memory, like a Proust madeleine”

Big sound, impeccable technical execution, enthusiasm and even a semblance of soul. The illusion is perfect with the vintage 1984 saxophone, from synths to fireworks, the red Gibson SG on which Goldman has “too much bleeding” and, above all, the voice of Stevez, with less aggressive highs. ?He said I sang better than he sings today,? says the interpreter. For the rest, ?The songs do 80% of the job: they bring memories, like a Proust madeleine. How many people told me they heard Since you’re leaving at a funeral? »

The intact popularity of the absentee, now 70 years old, constitutes a curious paradox in the France of 2022. The country has swung massively to the right, including its extreme, if we are to believe the polls. And Goldman remains, with Sophie Marceau, the favorite personality of the French, according to the traditional list of Sunday newspaper. So a singer carrying humanism and the right to be different, values ??that are mocked today as ?right-thinking?.

However, nothing seems to disturb his media silence. We just learn by Paris Match that he was skiing this winter in Valmorel (Savoie). It nevertheless continues to benefit from its public image, associated with the Enfoirés, this collective of stars singing for the benefit of the Restos du Coeur. The historical godfather, who reserved his stage appearances for them, has moved away from it since 2016, perhaps scalded by the intergenerational controversy around his song All the life, accused of lecturing young people.
